The big, proper, embarrass-yourself-on-the-dance-floor-then-struggle-with-hangover-the-next-day ceremonies may still seem a long way away, but that hasn’t stopped our favourite award shows from celebrating the very best that the industry has to offer.
And this month it’s been PR taking centre stage (well, a metaphorical stage). At the PRCA DARE awards, Smarts Belfast was named Large Consultancy of the Year at the Northern Ireland ceremony and won Integrated Campaign of the Year for their Openreach work (picture above).
Meanwhile in the Scotland ceremony, Smarts Scotland bagged three awards, two for their ‘Gran-Plification’ road safety campaign for the Scottish Government and one for their work with Seafish on the National Fish & Chip Awards.
There could be even more to come for Smarts too. They’ve been nominated for Best Agency Outside London in the PR Week awards, whilst their work with Diageo Bar Academy has been shortlisted at the UK Social Media Awards! They’ll find out if they’ve snaffled more metal later this year.
Speaking of shortlists, the Media Week Awards nominations were announced earlier this week, and it’s brilliant to see that Stack have made the cut for their amazing Solace ‘Hidden Abuse’ campaign. Fingers crossed for October.
And finally, to the Prolific North Awards, which will take place next month. Stein IAS have been nominated for not one, not two, not three, not four but a whopping FIVE awards, including Digital Agency of the Year, B2B Marketing Campaign of the Year and Digital / Social Media Campaign of the Year.
