MSQ announce Young Lions for Cannes 2024

Now that 2024 is well underway, it seems as though we can almost smell the sea water and hear the buzz from The Palais as this year’s Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity creeps upon us once more. This marks MSQ’s third consecutive year of bringing along two aspiring Young Lions to Cannes, and we’re delighted to announce that Becky Reynolds and Hannah Bituin from The Gate will be joining us this June.

Hannah and Becky form a dynamic creative duo at The Gate, having joined together in April 2023, and have made quite the impact throughout their time so far. Their extensive portfolio includes several impactful brand platforms like “Let’s Make It Sparkle” for Very, which dazzled audiences last Christmas. Their pioneering work for The AA was also recognised by Channel 4 at the Diversity in Advertising Awards, where the team addressed the imperative need for LGBTQIA+ representation in advertising. Hannah and Becky’s latest project, “A Better Fortune” for support and reporting service, On Your Side, champions solidarity with the East and Southeast Asian community, combating the alarming rise of racism and hate crimes in the UK.

In-between briefs they are pushing industry boundaries like the Big Taboo that ensures there is a real and fair representation of plus-size women in the industry, as well as shining a light on the 200% increase of Asian Hate with a proactive social campaign. In her spare time, Hannah makes fashion inspiration TikToks and is an active member within the East and South-East Asian community, while Becky is a YouTube influencer, creating content from fashion and beauty.
