Of all the changes and oddities caused by 2020, Autumn is still, as always, busy season when it comes to awards.
And whilst Zoom ceremonies may not ever fully recreate the awful headache you have the morning-after-the-night-before, it’s no less exciting to be recognised for hard work.
For MSQ agencies these past few weeks, we’ve been delighted to see that recognition come in spades…
Winners!
Starting just last week, at The Drum Awards for Agency Business, and Stein IAS were named Network Marketing Services Company of the Year, Leadership Team of the Year and clinched the Marketing and Advertising Strategy of the Year title. One judge said: “An agency driven by thought leadership, with multiple awards and huge revenues. Their profits are very strong, and they are winning new business even today.”
Staying with The Drum, and at The Drum Recommends, an awards show based entirely on client feedback, MMT Digital retained their reputation as the UK’s Most Recommended agency, winning a staggering six awards across Digital Full Service, Digital Strategy, Software Development, Web Design, Web Development and Mobile.
MMT’s double hat-trick at The Drum Recommends came hot off the heels of another triumph, winning Best DevOps Transformation at the Computing DevOps Excellence awards, thanks to their industry-leading work with Vodafone.
The next MSQ agency to have enjoyed a multi-award haul this month is Smarts. The agency was named PR and Communications Agency of the Year at The Drum PR Awards, whilst at the European Agency Awards, Smarts was named PR Agency of the Year and Integrated Agency of the Year, with one judge saying: “What more could you want? This agency is clearly customer-centric and it is no wonder they have retained their clients for so long. Absolutely brilliant work”.
Smarts’ work for Diageo Bar Academy continues to be recognised as a benchmark for lockdown comms too, winning Best use of social media for FMCG at the UK Social Media Awards.
Speaking of creating work in lockdown, The Gate London were recognised earlier this month for their LGBT Foundation ‘Locked Down and Out’ campaign, winning Bronze at the Kinsale Sharks.
The Gate Edinburgh won Gold at the Marketing Society Star awards for their Credit Unions ‘People. Not Profit.’ work for The Scottish Government.
And in the US, The Gate New York won two Golds in the Graphis Advertising Annual, for their work for the Military Officers Association of America and the Institute of Management Accountants (pictured above) respectively.
Nominations!
Still lots of awards up for grabs in the coming weeks too. The DADI shortlist is out, and multiple MSQ agencies are nominated. Stein IAS have four nominations, thanks to their work for Covance, Trelleborg, TetraPak and Marshalls, Smarts have been shortlisted in the B2B and Digital Media Strategy categories for the Diageo Bar Academy work, and MMT Digital have been shortlisted in two categories for their work with Translink.
Stein IAS and Smarts are at it again at The Drum B2B awards too. Smarts have two nominations for Diageo Bar Academy, whilst Stein IAS has been shortlisted a whopping six times, including for Agency of the Year.
And finally, to end on an award show that’s a bit different, following the launch of their very elegant new site for Corinthia Hotels, twentysix have been nominated at the World Travel Awards for the ‘World’s Leading Luxury Hotel Brand Website’. Winners will be announced next month.
Fingers crossed to all those nominated, and a massive congratulations to all the winners above – that’s some October haul!
