Awards, Awards, Awards (the Spring edition)

From awards for ideas to awards for culture to awards for people, it’s fair to say the trophy cabinet at our soon-to-be-opened new office is going to be bursting at the seams from the moment we arrive.

Starting with an award for individual brilliance. And it’s congratulations to our Chief Data Officer Rob Goodwin, who was recently named as part of the latest BIMA 100 Class, recognising the UK’s most influential people in digital and tech. Better still, Rob was joined on the list by our brilliant Vodafone client, Ben Connolly, who was recognised as a Tech Trailblazer.

On the agency front, MBAstack has been awarded the IPA’s top Platinum CPD status for the 6th year in a row, thanks to their ongoing commitment to professional development. Only a handful of agencies have this honour, so it’s a huge achievement.

And on a similar vein, great news from Smarts, who have won the Large Agency category at the PRCA Workplace Champion Awards.

When it comes to new ideas, agencies across MSQ are turning heads. The Gate London’s Childline work won 3 Silver Clios last month, for best film, best film animation and best film craft (to put the success into context, over 10,000 global campaigns were entered into the awards, and only 1% won a Silver or above).

MBAstack has continued their award-winning pieces for Solace Women’s Aid with a distinction at the Webbys. They were named a Webby Honoree in Social: Public Service & Activism.

And Smarts picked up a Platinum International Hermes Creative Award for Fearbook, their in-house project looking at the power of fear.

There may be some shiny metal still to come too, as we enter yet another busy award period.

Stein IAS have a whopping 13 shortlists (including Agency of the Year) in the B2B Marketing Elevation Awards. Smarts been shortlisted for six PR Moments awards including Best Integrated and Best Large Agency. And Smarts Scotland have been shortlisted for a brilliant seven PRCA Dare Awards.

Meanwhile The Gate London have been racking up more nominations for their Childline (yes, even more after their Clio wins!) and Replens work, including 4 nominations at the D&AD Awards and 3 at The One Show. We’re keeping our fingers and toes firmly crossed.

J.
